Dr. Jo McShane

A native of Qualicum Beach, Dr. Jo McShane completed her undergraduate studies at both the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University. She furthered her passion for dentistry at the University of Southern California, earning her dental credentials in 1999. When she's not creating smiles, Dr. McShane can be found jogging, nurturing her garden, or enjoying time with her family.
Dr. Verne McShane

A pillar of the Qualicum Beach dental community since 1974, Dr. Verne McShane's passion for dentistry remains undiminished. A graduate of UBC's Faculty of Dentistry, he's held prominent positions including the presidency of the Upper Island Dental Association and has been a proactive member of various orthodontic and implant study clubs. Beyond dentistry, Dr. McShane's passions include curling, gardening, and doting on his grandchildren.
Dr. Giulia Suriano

Dr. Giulia Suriano grew up in Southern Alberta, where she discovered her passion for healthcare early on. She completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Lethbridge before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Alberta.
Drawn to the natural beauty of Qualicum Beach—and the fact that her fiancé is a local—Dr. Suriano has made it her home. Outside the clinic, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her fiancé, Evan, and their dog, Nash. She also loves skiing during the winter months. Dr. Suriano is dedicated to providing compassionate, modern dental care to her patients and is excited to be a part of the Qualicum Dental team.
Dr. Araceli Javier

Dr. Javier earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southwestern University in the Philippines, where she later served as faculty while maintaining a private practice. After completing Canada's NDEB Equivalency process in 2015, she practiced in Ontario for eight years before making Vancouver Island her home.
With advanced training in Aesthetic Dentistry from the University of Minnesota and Complete Dentistry from the Dawson Academy, Dr. Javier specializes in TMJ care, bite alignment, and creating beautiful, healthy smiles. Outside the clinic, she enjoys hiking, beachcombing, and exploring the island with her husband and two daughters.
